MCS Technologies’ state-of-the-art Coker Quench Slurry Process produces a stable, oil free coker quench feed material. The MCS Coker Quench Slurry Process is the most cost effective process available to refineries with coke drums for the recycling of "F" and "K" waste streams. Wet or dry incoming material is de-oiled with centrifugation then reslurried with water to produce a uniform slurry that is injected into the coke drum during the quench cycle without creating hot spots.

The MCS Coker Slurry Process is comprised of three (3) separate, yet interrelated process steps:

  • Mechanical removal of the oil from the feed sludge using the latest separation technology, the MCS 3000/3 Centrifuge system.
  • Solids conditioning using a Macerator and Multishear Disk Attrition Pump
  • Recombination of process de-oiled solids with process or refinery supplied non-potable water.
